CARY, NC (November 3, 2000) - SAS inSchool's multimedia
instructional software has received the Technology & Learning Software Award of Excellence. Criteria for products in the School category included:
- Quality, accuracy, and appropriateness of content
- Instructional design and presentation quality
- Ease of use for the intended age group
- Creative use of technology
- Quality of supporting documentation (such as teacher's guides)
- Suitability for the classroom
 "We are very pleased to receive this kind of recognition in our first year of taking these products to market," said Barbara Pendergrass, SAS inSchool Associate Director. "By putting educator input and feedback at the core of our product development process, we focus on creating products that are not only innovative but that will meet the real world needs of classroom teachers. The Technology & Learning award is a good indicator that this process is working."
