SAS inSchool® educational resources now available to Mac users

ANAHEIM, CA (March 19, 2007)—SAS inSchool announces Curriculum Pathways® is now fully compatible with Apple's Safari web browser, enabling the use of the award-winning, online educational assets for high school Mac users across the country. The announcement came this weekend at the 2007 Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) Annual Conference and Exhibition Show.

"SAS inSchool's innovative educational resources can now be combined with Apple's superbly-engineered Macintosh computers and Mac OS X operating system to create an irresistible package for secondary education," said Kathy Lee, General Manager of the SAS Education and Medical Practice.

"Apple has worked closely with educators and students for 30 years, providing solutions that enhance teaching and learning," said Ron Okamoto, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. "We're thrilled that SAS is now offering high school and secondary education students and teachers on the Mac its online educational assets."

An online resource for students and teachers in high schools, community colleges and virtual schools, Curriculum Pathways provides core content in English, mathematics, social studies, science and Spanish. It has a complete collection of over 170 InterActivities and 855 ready-to-use lessons that enable technology-rich instruction and engage higher-order thinking skills.

Currently, Curriculum Pathways is used by thousands of customers in more than 30 states. The new compatibility will benefit the vast number of high schoolers using Macs.
