Award-Winning Software Goes to Market Cary, NC (August 20, 2002)-SAS inSchool's new Internet subscriptions go live today, just in time for the beginning of the school year. "Our development partner schools had access to the subscriptions all last month for professional development, and their feedback has been overwhelmingly positive," said Barbara Pendergrass, SAS inSchool Associate Director. "We listened to our customers and provided them with a wealth of focused resources and content. As a result, teachers and students can readily use and apply our software." The new software has already won an EDDIE award, which was announced last week at ComputED's Seventh Annual Software Review. "It's especially rewarding to have the EDDIE judges-who are also classroom teachers-confirm our substance, approach, and philosophy" Pendergrass added. The EDDIE award recognizes innovative and content-rich programs. Selection is based on academic content, potential for broad classroom use, technical merit, approach, and quality of the management system. Winners are selected from titles submitted by software publishers around the world. About SAS inSchool |
